Even if we can't raise funds for the Against Malaria Foundation from your cartridge models, we're happy to advise you on the many alternative options (most of them free!) for environmentally-sensitive disposal.
Zero to Landfill
Over 2/3rds of empty printer cartridges in the UK are simply thrown away into landfill instead of being recycled or reused.
A typical cartridge, with its plastics and electronics, will take up to 1,000 years to degrade in a landfill site.
This is a sorry state of affairs, and our services offer a simple way to counteract this — and raising funds for a good cause too if we can!

Your donated cartridges are reused instead of merely being recycled.
We've helped reuse over 100,000 cartridges in our many years of operation, saving an estimated 250 tonnes of CO2.
Reuse is a step above recycling in the environmental impact hierarchy.
What Happens to Cartridges?
Full / unused cartridges we find a new home for if possible instead of recycling, so they are used in the manner intended when they were manufactured which is much better than trying to recycle them.
Empty cartridges are professionally cleaned, tested and refilled to become new 'remanufactured' cartridges, and helps people to find a cheaper alternative to the manufacturers' original cartridges
Reducing CO2 Emissions
Refilling empties saves up to 2.5kg of CO2 compared to the manufacture of a cartridge from scratch.
And finding a new home for a full cartridge saves 5kg of CO2 as nothing has to be manufactured or refilled to meet the same demand.
